Heritage
A quiet conversation with the highland weather
What began as a modest family enterprise in 1933 has grown into one of Malaysia's most-loved single-estate plantations. We've resisted the industry pull toward blending — every leaf we sell was grown and finished on our own hillside.
The estate today includes three tea houses, buggy trails, plantation walks, and event venues. What hasn't changed is the tea itself: unhurried, sun-fed, and made by hand.
The Founders
The family who planted the first bush
Cameron Bharat Plantations was founded by two families who shared a belief that a single hillside, well-tended, could produce tea good enough to travel the world. Nearly a century on, the fourth generation still walks the same rows.

Founded
Our founding family plants the first tea bushes on the Cameron Bharat estate.
1957
First Tea House
We open Tea House 1 at Batu 34, welcoming visitors from across Malaysia.
1988
Second Location
Tea House 2 at Batu 34.5 opens with the estate's now-iconic open-air deck.
2011
Kuala Terla Expansion
Tea House 3 opens, bringing our newer plantings into the guest experience.
2019
Estate Buggy Rides
The first fleet of buggies launches, opening the terraces to every generation.
2026
Night Rides
An after-dark ATV experience joins the estate's activities. Coming soon.
